Jewelry Care
Follow these care recommendations to keep your jewelry looking sparkling and like new.
Storing
Always store each piece of jewelry separately to avoid from being scratched.
What to avoid
Jewelry may be damaged by direct contact with sprays such as hairsprays, perfumes, deodorants or detergents and salt water. Put your jewelry on last, after washing and applying any makeup/hair spray.
When NOT to wear
Avoid wearing jewelry while bathing, in bed, when exercising or while in a swimming pool. Chlorine can cause damage to various gemstones and silver.
Cleaning
Over time any silver jewelry will tarnish or discolor. If you store silver in plastic bags with an interlocking seal, it will be less prone to tarnish. An occasional polishing with a soft cloth will help to maintain its original lustrous finish. Sterling silver will polish up by rubbing or buffing it with a soft cotton cloth or a Sunshine Cloth. (Do NOT store pearls in plastic bags.)
If jewelry is dirty, wash using warm water, a mild detergent and a soft tooth brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water prior to drying with a clean cotton cloth. Do not, however, immerse pieces in water.
Do not use sonic cleaners, boiling water or ammonia cleaners.
